Payton Basketball Camp –
Grizzly Family,
We are excited to announce our inaugural Summer Youth Basketball Camps! If you know anyone with rising 7th and/or 8th grade students who play basketball, we would love your help in getting the word spread. Our intentions with these camps are to offer SMALL group sessions to allow more meaningful repetitions and individual attention during play rather than the standard large camp model that most high school programs conduct. We will tailor the training sessions to the group size, but will cap each week at a MAXIMUM 18 campers.
What camp will be:
- teaching skills and concepts through live play and small sided games
- structured like a Payton Basketball practice and small group training experience
- individual attention from a Varsity Head Coach with over a decade of NCAA coaching experience
- a GREAT head start for those interested in playing high school basketball
What camp will not be:
- standing around!!! We will be focused on quick teaching, lots of playing
- cardio bootcamp. We believe it's more fun to get in shape by playing basketball
- "on air" drills. Youtube can teach you all the latest dribble moves and 1v0 skills. Our camp is here to help you apply skills to real basketball situations.
- PERFECT. To get better, we must make mistakes. Kids will be encouraged to fail and grow in a positive way.
Details:
Time: 8:30 am - 10:30 am
Location: Walter Payton College Prep
Cost: $125 / session
*each session will be different, as camp sizes will be different. We will teach Payton Basketball concepts and skills in a variety of methods.
