State HIstory Fair - I am so grateful to have received this news as it brings a little bit of normalcy, as so many other events have been canceled. We are excited to announce students who are moving forward to state in the history fair competition.  Congratulations on your hardwork and critically thinking!

Teacher Appreciation Week (Reminder) - We encourage students/families to write notes or emails to teachers and staff throughout the week. You can do this via email message/video or you can use the following Google Form (https://forms.gle/si8ZiR7CGsstUyRW9) to send compliments to staff. These will be shared with them at the end of the week.   


Tech Pick Up - We want to make sure students have what they need to stay engaged while school is not in session.  If your student needs a Chromebook or has other needs that we can assist with, please complete the following form (https://forms.gle/nEo1DvmNv4gLkmse9) or reach out to Katie (kmagnuson@cps.edu) or Derrick (dkimbrough@cps.edu) directly.   If possible, please let us know in advance if you plan to pick up a device.  Our next tech pick up day will be Wednesday 5/13 from 9:00-10:00.

NAMI Chicago's Ending the Silence:  a Mental Health Training for Parents and Caregivers - May is Mental Health Month and as we all learn to navigate our "stay-at-home" lives, it's a good time to come together as a community to talk about mental health and support resources for our children. We've partnered with our Wellness Committee to bring you: NAMI Chicago's Ending the Silence: a Mental Health Training for Parents and Caregivers • Tuesday, May 12, 2020 • 8:45-10:15a.m. We hope you will join us to learn more about your student's mental health and signs they may need more support; how early recognition & prevention are key to positive outcomes; how to approach your child and work with your school. This training will take place via Zoom. RYH SpEd Community Zoom - I am happy to announce that Dr. Stephanie Jones, Chief of ODLSS, will be on our 7th RYH Special Ed Community Zoom Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, April 5, 2020, 1:00 pm – 2:30 p.m. -- where she has offered to answer questions about remote special education in CPS.  Please join us.  You may register in advance for this meeting at:
