End of Day Plan Week Three
If your student is in Kindergarten-4rd grade please complete this form so we can help make sure your child gets to the correct place after school. (It asks you what’s your plan is for your student at the end of day, i.e. Pick Up, Stanton Park, Right At School, Bus). This form will stop accepting responses at 10am on Tuesday morning. This will be the last week we request this as we hope schedules have normalized. If you have changes to bus after this, please call the main office by noon on the day of the change to ensure proper dismissal of your student.

The more volunteers we have, the more activities we can offer our kiddos. Click here to choose a specific volunteer task. There are options to contribute in varied ways- donating items, planning from home, hosting a specific activity at the event, and more. Thank you for your support!
Student Programs
The Department of Arts Education has spent the summer planning their student programs for this school year. Please read on for details of opportunities for your students in this new school year, and please share these opportunities with your school community through fliers and other shared media their department has linked below on the name of each program.
The All-City Performing Arts Program offers music and performance ensembles for CPS students every Saturday at Jones College Prep. Students can choose from 13 different ensembles, and have the chance to perform throughout the school year! Any student in grades 3–12 at any CPS school—neighborhood, Charter, Contract, or Options - are eligible to apply. Parents and school teachers can apply on a student's behalf as well! Auditions will be held on September 17. Here is the flyer!
Diversity Committee
The Diversity Committee contributes to a vibrant school community that centers the growth, success, and well-being of our students. We support programming that creates a more inclusive environment for our students, families, and staff. We model curiosity and dialogue about our intersectional identities and the diverse communities in which we live. We are committed to anti-racist learning and action to address the long-standing racial inequities in our education system.
Last year, the Diversity Committee's parents and school staff supported many opportunities for learning and connection. Below are just a few highlights:
- regular Diversity Discussion prompts for reflection and exploration at-home
- Recess Rangoli with donations to Cradles to Crayons and chalk rangoli in celebration of Diwali
- West African drumming with SN parent Michael Hill
- virtual author visit with acclaimed Chicago-based poet and author Zetta Elliott
- lion dancing and tinikling during PE
- planning for implementation of the Teaching Equitable Asian American Community History (TEAACH) Act. Click here to check out ABC7 News showcasing our students and highlighting Skinner North as a leader in TEAACH Act implementation.
- another successful International Fest with many amazing student cultural performances
