I have received a few questions around COVID related protocols and wanted to share helpful information. It is really important members of our community follow the guidance and complete the Health Screener honestly.
If your student is experiencing COVID like symptoms (see this link), they need to be diagnostically tested before returning to school or an alternate diagnosis should be provided. (The link also details procedures for COVID close contact, Child Sick with COVID like symptoms and when a non-student household member is sick.)
Students with COVID like symptoms should not be sent to school. If they show one or more COVID like symptoms, they will be sent to the care room and need to be picked up.
If your student tests positive, please self report to CPS as soon as possible. To do this go to cps.edu/COVIDresults. This helps CPS and us identify next steps.
