Thanks to everyone who came and participated! Our winter assembly was a hit! students worked hard and were able to demonstrate some of the things they are working on in music class. A special thank you to Ms. Poznicek and the Art's committee.
This week (12/15-12/19) is our spirit week. Show your enthusiasm for Skinner North. Below is a listing of the different themes by day.
Monday - Crazy hair day: How crazy can you style your hair today? Mousse? Gel? 100 ribbons and bows? What will it take to make your hair crazy? Tuesday - Heroes and Legends: Dress as your favorite inspirational character. Leonardo Davinci? Frida Calo? Einstein?? Madame Marie Curie? Wednesday - Pajama Day: Did you wake up late or are you just in the swing of Spirit Week? Thursday - Rock Star Day: Whether it’s tie-dye, skinny jeans, or leather, rock out baby! Friday - Skinner North School Spirit Day: Represent your school pride wear purple and gold or your Skinner North gear. Congratulations to both of our teams (Purple Team and Gold Team)! They took 3rd and 4th places at the Regional Round of the Lego Robotics Competition at Chicago Math and Science Academy. This accomplishment qualifies them to compete at the State Championship next month on January 17, 2015 in Elgin. In addition to our team standings, the Gold Team won the Team Spirit Award and the Purple Team took home the Core Values Award! Go Skinner North!

Computer Science Education Week is a time when students from all over the country are encouraged to learn about computer programming and coding. We encourage all students to spend at least 1 hour learning to code (The Hour of Code) any time during this week. The following sites provide suggestions for students at different grade levels.
