Thank you to our fantastic Home Depot volunteers and school community volunteers, who have come in the past three days to paint the school!  It looks great. 

We will continue the painting Monday.  Please feel free to stop and help throughout the day (8AM-4PM).  The more volunteers we have, the more we can accomplish!

We have volunteers here for Home Depot today and through the end of the week (8/20/-8/21).  These volunteers are helping to paint some areas of the school that need a little refreshing.  

We are so appreciative that they have found the time to come help and are grateful to Friends of Skinner North for providing the paint!  That being said, we could use your help!

Firstly, thanks to everyone for their flexibility with the changes in busing.  We know that is has been frustrating, but are hopeful that it will work out well.  

CPS sent out letters to students enrolled in bus services.  These letters detail two options, a primary and secondary stop, for students. Some action is required depending on your stop selection (make sure to do this by Friday, August 21st to ensure there is no disruption in bus service).

If you want to select:

Primary site:  There is no need to do anything.  This will be the automatic choice.

Secondary site:  Email (kmagnuson@cps.edu) or call the school and state your child's name and name of the secondary site.  We will be able to change the site for you.  (Update:  No need to submit a bus stop change request form for secondary sites)

Another site:  You will need to complete a Bus Stop Change Request, located on the back of your letter or at http://cps.edu/Programs/Pages/Transportation.aspx.  The site selected must be one that already provides service to Skinner North students (a list is included below for your reference).   Once you complete this form, send to the school via scan & email, fax, or drop off.  Then, we will sign and send to the transportation department, where they will approve or deny the request.


Bus Pick Up/Drop Off Times:  These will be sent by Transportation 1-2 weeks before the first day of school.  If you have questions regarding this please contact Transportation at 773-553-2860.

This morning CPS announced that they have rolled our start time back to 8:30AM after previously changing our start time to 7:45.  

Our school day will be 8:30-3:30 the same as it was last year. Early drop off is possible with Youth Guidance (fee based) from 7:00AM-8:30AM. 

Doors will open at  8:15AM for all students. We can not provide coverage before that time, please plan accordingly. Youth Guidance will be sending out a revised program of options as well.
