We're excited to announce that Skinner North has officially obtained Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP) designation for our school counseling program from the American School Counselor Association. What is RAMP? RAMP recognizes schools committed to delivering comprehensive, data-informed school counseling programs aligned with the ASCA National Model framework. To date, approximately 1,200 schools have earned the RAMP designation. Learn more at https://www.schoolcounselor.org/RAMP.
Thank you to our hardworking counselors, Ms. Jacobson and Ms. Renteria, and our teaching staff who have helped ensure students are supported and there is consistent implementation of the ASCA model. Our counselors are able to do push-in lessons in all classrooms (Ms. Jacobson works with K,2,4,6, 8 and Ms. Renteria works with 1, 3, 5, 7, 8), meet with small groups based on student need and work individually with students. They also support teachers on Social-Emotional Learning within classrooms. Next week is counselor appreciation week. This year's theme is "Helping Students Dream Big." Let's show our love to Ms. Jacobson and Ms. Renteria. Ideas to show appreciation include:
