Today, our Kindergarten students and teachers celebrated the 100th day of school. In celebration, they dressed up as centenarians. What a fun way to celebrate this milestone!

Students in grades 2 and 3 attended a science related assembly. They learned more about various concepts including air pressure and sublimation. We saw a lot of excitement and interest in this interactive and fun learning event. Thanks to the Mad Science for coming out today (http://chicago.madscience.org/).
Thank you to the Diversity Committee, everyone who helped plan the event and everyone who participated in International Fest! It was a wonderful event, which helps us build a stronger community by learning more about one another. Students and parents had the opportunity to share their cultures through dance, music and informational booths. Participants were also able to try samples of food from around the world. This event shows the power of diversity and its positive impact on our students. Today was our first buddy classroom day. Each homeroom is paired up with another classroom and complete activities together to strength our sense of community and connectedness. Our theme today was cooperation. Students explored this concept while getting to know each other better. It was a lot of fun!
