Thanks to all of our students, parents, and staff who participated in our annual day of service! A special note of thanks to the FoSN Service Committee who organized and planned the event. Our students were able to learn about the issue of homelessness in Chicago and then, make that learning actionable. Students worked with their classmates to create toiletry kits and blankets for those impacted by homelessness.
Students in 6th grade have been learning about the Civil Rights Movement. To extend this thinking, students in Ms. Bradley's art class worked together to create a portrait of Martin Luther King, Jr..
Classes will resume tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 20. Please make sure to bundle up (hats, gloves, scarves, etc.) for the trip to school tomorrow. Stay warm!
Due to dangerous weather conditions, classes will be canceled for all Chicago Public School students on Thursday, February 19.
Thanks to our students, Ms. Bradley and parent volunteers who helped create the new artwork and displays!
