Thank you to the Chicago Blackhawks for their equipment donation and clinic at our school as a part of the Chicago Blackhawks G.O.A.L. program. Skinner North received (30) street hockey sticks, (2) full sized street hockey nets, (30) floor hockey balls, and (2) full sets of goalie equipment. Our 6th and 7th graders participate in a clinic and learned some hockey skills. Thank you so much, our students and PE teachers really got into the game!

Congratulations to our science fair participants and to Mrs. Kleinertz! Madison and Julie got Outstanding (the highest level) at the Regional Fair. Both are moving on to the city fair in March. Lorenzo got 1st place in the 6th grade category and he is going to the city 6th grade luncheon! Excellent work!
Due to the school cancellations on January 7 and 8, CPS is making changes to this year’s academic calendar.
The changes are as follows:
This day honors the man and his leadership in the civil rights movement. He worked, using nonviolent activism, to bring an end to racial discrimination in federal and state law. There are events throughout the city to commemorate King's work. A few options include the Museum of Science and Industry, the DuSable Museum, and the Chicago History Museum.
Congratulations to all participants in our first annual Spelling Bee. All worked extremely hard and put forward a great effort! Representatives from every classroom participated. A special congratulations to our winner, Osita.
After 2 days of school cancellation, school is back on. We are glad to have students back! Please be sure to stay warm and drive safe.
