Third grade has studied Chicago history throughout their school year. They have learned through inquiry about Native Americans who lived here, colonization and development of the city as we know it today. They researched neighborhoods and gained further understanding of the uniqueness and diversity of Chicago. In a culminating project, students chose an individual who has a connection to the city and researched them. At the Wax Museum, they represented their selected person and shared their learning while being in that role with museum visitors. Check out some of our wax figures in the photos below. It was such a great event! Thank you to the students for being such knowledgeable resources about their person and to Ms. Shakespeare and Ms. Noecker organizing!
