Excusing Absences
Below are the allowable ways to submit absence excusals for students. The E-Absence feature is new. You can learn how to do this via this video.
Please note, it does take up to 24 hours to process the E-Absence, so if the reason for absence is an allowable one per the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), you will see it after that time frame.
Allowable reasons per ISBE can be seen on our absence note. On the electronic one, if a student is using a mental health day or has an injury it would be marked as student illness and then, described as a mental health day or illness in the given description section. Remember student travel/family trips are not valid reasons to excuse an absence.
